Barcelona's Road to the 2027 Super Cup: La Liga Champions

Barcelona take their place in the 2027 Spanish Super Cup by the most direct route of all: as La Liga champions. The Super Cup gives one of its four places to the league winners, and Barcelona filled it by taking the 2025–26 title — their second in a row.

They did it in style, and early. Barcelona secured the championship on 10 May 2026, with three games still to play, by beating Real Madrid 2–0 in the Clásico — settling the title race against the same club they could yet meet again in Istanbul. They finished on 94 points from 31 wins, the most emphatic of the four clubs' routes to the tournament.

As champions, Barcelona open the Super Cup in the semi-final against Atlético Madrid on 2 February. You can book Barcelona vs Atlético Madrid tickets on the event page; the full schedule is on the tournament pages.
